Boy Scouts
NASA and Scouting have a long history. More than two-thirds of all current and former astronauts have been involved in Scouting. The leadership, teamwork, life skills and positive role models that are part of Scouting help create motivated, high-achieving adults who may go on to become astronauts, scientists or engineers. NASA supports Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as part of its goal for engaging Americans in NASA missions.

MindSET
The Tau Beta Pi National K-12 Mathematics and Science Initiative is known as MindSET. MindSET encourages the use of hands-on delivery strategies in STEM activities. Such strategies have been shown to contribute to improved math and science performance of students, particularly in assisting students to understand the connections between math, career opportunities, and their daily lives.
