home for current news about IFPE®
IFPE,
the International Exposition for Power Transmission,
is the leading trade show in North America for hydraulic,
pneumatic, electrical and mechanical components and
systems used in motion control. Attendees of IFPE also
benefit from its Technical Conference, with extensive
product applications and research papers. CONEXPO-CON/AGG

Hydraulic Page from the Netherlands This is the HYDRAULIC website, designed by R. van den Brink. Every month a subject about hydraulic engineering will be added to the site. This site will introduce you to Hydraulic Engineering. Interesting, with great animation. It provide a wonderful introduction to hydraulics.
Mr. van den Brink studied mechanical engineering at the College of Advanced
Technology (title: ing. = ingenieur) and has been working as an
engineer and project leader in mechanical, automotive and hydraulic
technology since 1979. A couple of years ago he specialized in educational technology and at the moment he is teaching/training
hydraulics and technical information technology for the Ministry of Defence and for a Dutch training company. Besides that he writes articles and books about Hydraulic and Automotive (Engine) technology.
The links below refer to some information about three books I have written. The
books (we call them Technical Papers; about 50 pages each) are used for
training purposes. These links are in Dutch.

| KEOHPS -
stands for Knowledge Engineering On Hydraulic and Pneumatic
Systems. Its mission is to provide computational solutions, applying
Artificial Intelligence Techniques, to the Hydraulics and Pneumatics
market worldwide, KEOHPS activities also include training and consulting
on techniques which improve the design process.
KEOHPS was created as a spin-off from a five-year PhD project in
mechanical engineering. The project has uniquely integrated three areas,
i.e. Artificial Intelligence, Design Methodology and Fluid Power. This
integration resulted in a working prototype tested and validated by
fluid power experts, from industry and academia, in Europe, United
States and Brazil. |

Kapelle, 2 November
Dear colleague,
First I want to
introduce myself.
I'
am a Dutch high-school teacher and I work at The Buys Ballot College
in Goes - Zeeland - the Netherlands.
In
October 1999 Opitec-Germany asked me to develop some hydraulic
models for them. I choose the use of disposable syringes, because
the supple movement fascinated me
The last two years I spend designing, manufacturing en testing
hydraulic models and writing belonging tutorial documents. I also
manufactured more complicated instructive models to visualise the
hydraulic principle. The
enthusiasm of pupils worked very
inspiring.
The result you can see at my homepage

Possibly this web-site is interesting for American
science-colleagues.

Engineering Information Inc. -- known as Ei
-- was created for a community of engineers wanting to share their own research results and learn about what others were doing.
That was back in 1884, on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. Our task has been to identify, organize and facilitate easy access to the published engineering literature of the world. Now Ei brings information globally, to technical professionals, researchers and managers, no matter where it resides -- and no matter where they reside. |
