About the FPEF KEY HIGH SCHOOL program

The Board of Trustees of the Fluid Power Educational Foundation has designated Seaholm High School and Toledo Technology Academy as the only two high schools in the country, as a “Key High School.” Key High Schools are schools that offer quality programs in systems engineering, engineering technology, or robotics. The courses in these programs include hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical power transmission.

The Board of Trustees determined that these schools had such programs.

“Key High School” status entitles a school to a number of benefits, which include:

bullet

Scholarships for students who are admitted and enroll in an engineering technology related program at a post-secondary institution.

bullet

Access to hardware and software specific to the fluid power industry.

bullet

Access to information from a network of approximately 20 other Key Schools across the USA and Canada.

bullet

Cooperation with fluid power industry associations.

bullet

IFPS Certification for graduating students
