The Cal Poly program provides a balanced curriculum consisting of technical and general courses, as well as practical experience. This combination, along with small classes and individual attention, prepares students to immediately meet the needs of industry upon graduation.
The technical courses include the study of fluid power components, electrohydraulics, technical graphics and CAD, and instrumentation. The comprehensive curriculum also includes the study of power transmission, digital electronics and technological problem solving. Fluid Power students also complete 51 hours of general studies which include written and oral communication, social sciences, mathematics, and chemical and physical science.
Also, if we also include our fluid power program in Agricultural Engineering, our offerings are
multi-faceted.
